Diamondhead is changing ownership!

Jessica is serious about not giving him back. He is meant to be HER horse. Congratulations!

Diamondhead Diamondhead

Here is our latest Import! Diamondhead comes from the renowned breeding program of the late Hans Guenter Berner who was also the breeder of our Star mare Hochkarat and the Celle Stallion Hochadel. I am very grateful I had the oportunity to pick a colt from his preselected group of Stallion hopefulls! I think I picked the right one!

Diamondhead is a very very expressive mover with 3 (!) excellent gaits. He is very intelligent and quiet. He "thinks" about new situations and processes them before overreacting. I really, really like this quality about him. I don't think I need to elaborate about his bloodlines, right?

He was taken to Jessica Wisdom in early March of 2008 to have a basic introduction to life as a showhorse and was supposed to be back here in April, but after speaking with her I`m afraid she won`t give him back. She can stand him at stud, he'll be available for some selected test breedings in 2009. Inquire!

He was shown in Hand at all the major shows in 2008 and he has fulfilled our wildest expectations! He won every class he was entered in, won Young Horse Champion in every show he was in and won Grandchampion of every show he was in except for one where he was Reserve.(Clearly the judge had an off day).

Not bad for a 2 year old. Judge Peggy Klump called him the nicest colt she has seen in the US.

He finished the season with a median score of 80% which earned him the title HORSE OF THE YEAR with the United States Dressage Federation for 2 year old colts and geldings.

In September of 2008 he was presented for licensing with RPSI, which he passed with flying colors earning an 8 for his walk (he was a little tense that day) a 9 for his trot and a 9 for his canter. Did I mention before that the horse can actually jump quite well, too?

After some well deserved pasture rest this fall he will start his training under saddle later this winter.

And we'll see what kind of mischief him and Jessica can get into at the shows in 2009. I've heard a rumor about some early CDI shows in California ...
